QNAP TVS-X82T bricked (TVS-1282T)

Post by kleffx »

Hi,

this is related to the following thread viewtopic.php?t=133898 from buggy82 some years back.# :ashamed:
I planned to rewrite the bios of my bricked NAS with help of a raspberry pi, but so far cannot address the chip properly.
Anyone has a TVS-1282T open like mine and can tell me about the pin orientation and connections of the
  • JSPI1 pins?
I tried to check the connection between the pins of both items with a multimeter and found the following strange:
According to the chip pins documentation
only 4 pins are connected directly with JSPI1-pins : 1, 2, 5, 7 - the rest has no direct connection?!?
Is that correct? Or do I miss something?
Any help highly appriociated...

BR Markus

To complete the thread here for others searching - I found out on another blog post that it was resolved:

Hi PEELOS,
just to let you know, I could get my QNAP NAS running again! Some kind user (sorry forgot his name) instructed me to change the cpu FIRST after the flashing process and with that I got access to the NAS again and could flash the right bios version for my model. Believe me, after so much of unsuccessful and frustrating trials I was more than happy to get it alive and fully working again – now „upgraded“ .
So very important is
1) to choose the matching bios version for your model and
2) after flashing change the cpu to kaby lake immediately (with sky lake it might not boot properly at all – as with me).
