Slow initial access to mapped drive from a Windows 10 PC

Hi,

I've got one particular Windows 10 PC that has developed an interesting issue with one of the four QNAP NAS in my system. With this particular PC and this particular NAS, a TS-879 PRO, the first time that I access a mapped network drive and do a Windows sort by name, date or size, the progress bar and resorting of the files in the mapped drive is as slow as "snail mail" and take upwards of twenty (20) seconds to complete. After that initial access, resorting goes fine and is within a second or two. This same PC has no similar issues with mapped drives from other NAS systems nor do other PCs have this issue with the TS-879.

This PC exhibits this issue with the TS-879 PRO regardless of whether the NAS or the PC is connected via a 1GbE or a 10GbE connections through the CISCO or QNAP 10GbE switches or whether the TS-879 is getting its IP via DHCP or statically. Any idea what might be going on?

are you using the same version of SMB on all the NAS's?
