Hi there,
My QNAP 809 Pro suddenly stopped working. The red status light is flashing red and it is in a perpetual "System Booting" mode. The network cable lights are flashing orange. Two drive bays show red lights.
I have 8 drives installed running as individual volumes.
I have tried powering down, unplugging the cable, waiting 30 minutes and tried to start the system back up. That did not help, I have the same situation.
I also tried removing all 8 drives and doing the above again with the same result.
Any suggestions on what steps I can take?
I logged a ticket with these details to QNAP Support so I'm hoping to get some guidance from them but also hoping someone might be able to help in the meantime.
Hope someone can help.
Thanks

If the NAS does not start (into setup) without drives, try a firmware recovery

If that also does not help, you might have to look for a new NAS

Support has ended on this model. And repair (by QNAP) too.
Not sure what the support would be able to do..

I think you can try fw recovery though, as said up

Re: QNAP 809 Pro Froze and Will Not Start
Thanks for the replies. Much appreciated. I tried resetting with the reset button but the device is unresponsive when I try that unfortunately. I suspect the same thing will be the case for firmware recovery but I will give it a shot and report back.
