QNAP TS-451A 4.2.4
Searched the world wide web, can't seem to find what I'm looking for. A lot of them talked about using my NAS as a VPN server, but that's not what I'm looking for.
What I would like to do is put all NAS internet activity through PIA VPN. I have set up the VPN client under a PPTP connection, (couldn't get OpenVPN to work, even with all the workarounds). When I ping my server (ping NAS.myqnapcloud.com), it returns the ISP ip address.
How do I put all NAS internet activity through PIA VPN or any VPN/proxy ?
Thank you !

Unless I'm being blind, I can't find the setting to change what kind of QNAP I have on my profile. I now own a TS-253A

Re: NAS Internet Activity through a PIA VPN
Thanks ensignvorik for replying. I saw your linked post and tried that a few weeks ago on 4.2.4, but didn't work. Did not try it on 4.2.2 as noted. I'm hesitant to downgrade. (Will it reset settings ? What about my data ?)
Is there something I can do now on 4.2.4 with a PPTP connection on the VPN client app that will put ALL internet traffic through PIA VPN ?

There's no reason the original post guide shoudn't work on 4.2.4.FraytorNAS wrote:Thanks ensignvorik for replying. I saw your linked post and tried that a few weeks ago on 4.2.4, but didn't work. If you reply on that topic as there's lots of us discussing and able to help with where you're getting stuck we may be able to crack it for you.
