qbittorrent question

Post by spyras »

I’d like to ask you for a help in one of the configuration element of my qbittorrent app.
Used AppCenter i installed qbittorrent (4.1.1.0)
In options i set up some parameters, but i have problem how to find place where qbittorrent stores downloaded files.
By default it’s: /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/QBittorrent4/Downloads/

I didn’t change this patch, and put some files to download. Files was downloaded, and then I’d like to move those files to windows. And I found out problem: I can not find those files on my qnap disks…
I tried serch those files by name in file station with no results.
Unfortunatelly I’m not fluent in linux so I don’t know how to interprete even default path (I mean where it is on qnap HDD’s).
I’d be glad if you can help me in this topic.

I have QNAP TS-453A and fw 4.3.4 (20180710)

I save the files in /share/homes/admin/Movies/ which is visible from Windows.

You can connect to your NAS using ssh command.

I had the same problem and I did the following:

ssh <user>@<qnap.private.ip> (where user is admin in my case)
cd /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/QBittorrent4/Downloads/
mv Her\ \[MicroHD\]\[1080\ px\]\[DTS\ 5.1-AC3\ 5.1-Castellano-AC3\ 5.1\ Ingles+Subs\]\[ES-EN\]/ /share/homes/admin/Movies/

I hope it helps.

Thanks @deldie for your help.
What i missed in the config was the word "share" just after "/"
Now it works perfectly :)

Even I have the same problem . I am not quite familiar with the SSH commands . Is there a way i can use the GUI to browse to my qbittorrent download folder and take the files out.

My current Path is /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/QBittorrent/Downloads/

I want to change it to The Main download folder

I got a solution, download a app called "electerm", and connect to the NAS via SSH, the app provide a visible way to move and copy the folder, and no need to using the complicated SSH command
