The unit does not start, i.e. it tries to start (I see Booting on the blue display ...) but after a few seconds it stops, sometimes tries to start again. I think it is the power supply and I see the PSU brand and model is FSP250-50LC 250W
any other diagnosis than the PSU?
Sorry if I did not find a forum section better suited for this issue
Thanks much

Re: TS 453 PRO power supply
firstly as long as you can confirm you have the correct voltage going to the PSU, then there is not much you can do. You could purchase another PSU (if you think that is the cause) However there have been a number of 453 failures in the past on these forums however.

Re: TS 453 PRO power supply
Thanks much: I checked the PSU if failing. I got one on ebay @49 EU which will arrive in the next few day.
The PSU is a simple FSP250-50LC 250W : the price displayed in the QNAP store is outrageously high

Re: TS 453 PRO power supply
OK, I find this heuristically . It is a 20 PIN connector with 5v x 5 pins + 12Vx5 pin on side A and 10 COM ground on the side B> Just a way for QMAP to seel their *special* PSU at 3 times the street price of the simpel miniATX PSU. I will adapt the cheap PSU to this oddity then
