Can't "Share" Data copied in CLI

Post by nintendo1889 »

I have a drive that was formatted as an external ext4 drive in another qnap. My goal is to get the data synced over the WAN between two QNAPs in different countries, but I am starting with sneakernet.

I followed this guide http://web.archive.org/web/202102110131 ... b77a9bd816 and mounted the external drives under /share/CACHEDEV1_data/mydisks/slot3 and /share/CACHEDEV1_data/mydisks/slot4. I copied data to the slot4 and successfully used it as a "privilege shared" folder on the web gui so that it can be used by HBS (big mistake, btw. Always use Rsync, as it starts faster and it restarts faster [costa rica has power outage issues]).
So now I have another drive in slot4, and I have copied files into the internal RAID folder at /share/CACHEDEV1_data/ but I cannot find how to "share" these files in the GUI so that they will be part of the the RAID.
