Hi,
I wonder if someone may be able to guide me with what I am trying to achieve. I have recently signed up for a good deal 5g unlimited data sim which I wish to utilise for my home internet connection. Rather than buy a 5g modem (expensive) I have a spare 5g phone handset I can utilise. I can set the phone to tether via USB. Is it possible to easily utilise this on the NAS by configuring internet connection via phone to USB port and then sharing this via LAN port to my home network (cable from NAS LAN port to my Wifi Router WAN port).
Sure this must be possible but wonder if anyone has any guidance for me as to the easiest way?
Thanks in advance.
NAS: QNAP TS-453A

Re: Share Internet via USB - 4g / 5g tethering
Use the hotspot function of the phone and a wifi bridge
the lan port of the bridge then supplies wired internet to all your lan devices (via a connected switch)

Thanks but wish to avoid using WiFi wherever possible to ensure a stable connection. Anyone else have any experience of doing this?

Re: Share Internet via USB - 4g / 5g tethering
well a NAS is no router..so you certainly dont want your NAS as entrypoint
get a 4G tethering compatible router then
