TS-1253U-RP bios
hello to all
I have a TS-1253U-RP that is completely dead, it doesn't even start the bios on the monitor.
I would like to try one last attempt to resurrect it by flashing the firmware via SPI.
Although there is a procedure for updating the bios I can't find the file in the download section of the product support tab.
where can i find it?
the motherboard is a qw87 rev.2
thanks

Re: TS-1253U-RP bios
I think your Celeron j3455 is one of the LPC bug types , try the resistor fix on it

Dear trisonic,
I plan to buy also a TS-1253BU.
Can you tell me how you repair yours.
Does the J3455 has the LPC Bug ?
Regards.

Re: TS-1253U-RP bios
If he 'repaired' it with the resistor, the answer will be a YES (for the U without the B)

100ohm resistor between pin 1 and pin 8 of the LPC-CN1: viewtopic.php?t=157459
but I don't recommend making this change BEFORE the problem occurs.

Re: TS-1253U-RP bios
Thanks you very much for yours helps !!
So, I can buy the TS-1253BU and, when the problem will come, I just add the resistor between pin.
Do you know the difference between BU and U ? and do you know the year of the TS-1253BU ?
Thx!
EDIT :
The 1253BU : Intel® Celeron® J3455 quad-core 1.5 GHz processor (burst up to 2.3 GHz)
The 1253U : Quad-core Intel® Celeron® 2.0GHz (up to 2.42GHz)
Not same processor.
So, I'm afraid to buy a J3455 processor.

$980 ! Woaw, that is a price !
A 100 Ohm resistor cost less than $1 no

Re: TS-1253U-RP bios
yes it is true, it costs a few cents a resistance.... but it cost hours of research to the one who found a solution!
from what I understand, the fix is not definitive... and the signal may further degrade.
do your sums well and evaluate what you buy.

Yes you're right.
I will read a lot information for the 1253BU and i will take my decision.
Thx.

Re: TS-1253U-RP bios
