QTS - Limit to number of Desktop page Icons ?

On my new QGD-1600P when I want to add an icon to desktop page one I get a QTS error "... no room space left on desktop page..." and the icon isn't added. Is there a puny hard limit to the number of icons on the first page, in my case just (18) icons (3 rows of 6 icons) ? I am interacting with the QGD-1600P thru Firefox web browser on a 4k monitor - the QTS GUI has no problem showing me lots of empty QTS desktop space. What am I missing ?
