Can't acces to qnap after update

Post by TotalRico »

Hi

I just update firmeware of my 2 NAS. (QNAP TS-431P3-2G)
At first the 2 update were ok.

The first NAS is now unreachable and seems to reboot all the time. I can see it via ping and then hear a BIP and then can't see it in ping everey 5 or 10 min.
Juste after the reboot i check the target LUN on it with a third computer and he was unreachable cause by password error on CHAP lun. It was working fine right before the update but i remove CHAP security and restart LUN service on computer. When i check back on the NAS he was down.

Then the NAS was unreachable and i heard it every 5-10min.

I try to force shutdown and restart but it s seems to be same

The second NAS is ok

What should I do?

I get this with my TS-451 after every update and other seemingly random times teh device drop DHCP and will not refresh the lease, I havbe to push the reset and then go in as default user and reset DHCP. No idea why it does this. going to try setting a fixed address. I have assigned the device the same address permanently in the broadband route.

Any one have a definitive answer as to why it does this? I've had a TS-112 for 10 years and it never did taht once. I got the 451 to replace it and a BRIX box for download apps. Not sure I can get rid of it if the 451 is going to flake on DHCP every 3 or 4 days!!

Cool, I hit the rest on mine and several hours later its has come back up and its got the DHCP address back, so at least I can get to it.

I Know its not several hours really, but it feels like it when ur waiting for the thing to restart!

Be really keen to understand what I've done wrong for the DHCP to drop after a few days.

When i switch back to my orignal IP, the problem came back. I stop iscsi service on the compture and were able to restart nas propraly. Then I restarted my service (reboot) and qnas crash again.

So the problem to the NAS is this iscsi conection. I need to resolve this
