Hybrid Backup Sync prevent HD Standby by constantly writing logs evey minute like illustrated below on two files called "server.log" and "server-debug.log" on the following path:
/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/HybridBackup/CloudConnector3/data/server
How could I disable this log of fix the problem?
Many thanks!
Seems I have a similar issue since update to HybridBackup_3.0.200113_x86_64 (using one way cloud sync to amazon drive). Downgrade to HybridBackup_3.0.191202_x86_64 solved the problem (HD standby not prevented any more). I will raise a ticket to QNAP.
Thank you manny2003 for raising a ticket by yourself. Hope you will have more luck than me: QNAP asked me to update to QTS 4.4.1 before starting further acitivities on their side. I told them, that root cause is clearly HybridBackup_3.0.200113_x86 released both for 4.3.6 and 4.4.1 for my TS-453 Pro and Downgrade to HybridBackup_3.0.191202_x86_64 solved the issue. Don't want to update QTS because of possible issues with 4.4.1 and no opportunity of downgrade back to 4.3.6 (see release note, notice no. 7). My recommendation was to withdraw HybridBackup_3.0.191202_x86_64 for QTS 4.3.6 until clarification in order to stop App Center's notice for necessary update. But they do not want to follow my recommendation and gave me common notice about solving problems with prevention of HD standby (very geneneric … everybody knows).
Hi hajojue,
I still not have any reply on my ticket. Fortunately I am already on 4.4.1 so they will not be able to use this as an excuse on my case and hopefully they will focus on Hybrid Backup Sync problem.
I such case you will probably enjoy the eventual fix by updating to the new version of HBS. Finger crossed.

I don't see your Intel-based TS-253 mentioned among all those ARM-models...
RAID have never ever been a replacement for backups. Without backups on a different system (preferably placed at another site), you will eventually lose data!
A non-RAID configuration (including RAID 0, which isn't really RAID) with a backup on a separate media protects your data far better than any RAID-volume without backup.
All data storage consists of both the primary storage and the backups. It's your money and your data, spend the storage budget wisely or pay with your data!

You are right but in respect to some posts in german qnap-forum there was some trouble with downgrade even on other models (not all FW components of 4.4.1 eliminiated).
Just for information: update to HybridBackup_3.0.200212_x86_64 did not solve the problem under 4.3.6 on my TS-453 Pro. Downgrade to HybridBackup_3.0.191202_x86_64 done again but I had to delete and set up backup jobs on the scratch again!
