Hi there,
I would like to be able to power down my 109 without having to log into it from a browser. I would have thought that this ought to be possible by pressing the power button... but I am frightened to try this because I haven't seen it documented anywhere, and I don't want to power it down without going through the proper shutdown.
Hard drive spin down isn't a good option for me because I am running Slimserver and this complicates things.
I really hope this is possible - for me the whole point of getting this server is to make certain things possible without a computer switched on, so having to switch on a computer just to switch off the server would be really annoying!
Cheers,
Ben

Re: How to shut down?
Press power button until you hear beep, then release it. It will properly shut down the device!

Re: How to shut down?
My TS-109 Quick Install Guide says:
"To power off the system, please press the power button for 4 seconds until the system beep once. The system will start to shut down, and turn off all LEDs when finished. Please do not unplug the power cable directly to turn off the system."
I have noted that the power button also works when the system has hung, but for obvious reasons the exit is somewhat less graceful (ie, the lights just all suddenly go out ).
