Memory upgrade for TS459Pro+

Post by titusc »

Hi, have been reading on here and understood the KVR1333D3S8S9_2G would work but have some questions. Please comment. Thanks.

2GB

- Known to work for most people here.
- Only possible issue is receiving the ‘9905428-189.A00lf’ variant rather than ‘9931712-009.A00G’ variant as reported with the link below. In fact I'm not sure why this may be an issue because from what I understand the most important thing is we need to ensure that it's a single rank (ie 1R) based memory module. Whether it has 8 chips (ie 1Rx8) or 16 chips (ie 1Rx4) shouldn't matter I thought as the NAS is still going to use one CS (Chip Select) signal to address the full 64-bit bus. Does anyone have any idea why? :?:

- Here I found another variant on the following link. This appears to be neither ‘9905428-189.A00lf’ nor ‘9931712-009.A00G’. :?

4GB

- This is also a 1Rx8 design same as the KVR1333D3S8S9_2G. Any idea if this will work with my model which is using the Atom D525 chip which does support up to 4GB.
