I created a symbolic link to /share/openhab.
So I can use this as a samba share and copy my stuff from my windows client.

I am actually able to use the openhab designer this way.

Ah, symbolic link to access the openHAB folder using SAMBA...???!!

I found a tutorial at:
http://www.tweaking4all.com/qnap/combin ... d-folders/

And it works! So now I don't have to use Putty anymore for configuring openHAB :P :P

Maybe I will try to create a 2.0-Verion this weekend.
No promisses. ;)

And I will create an 1.6.2 package when the bugfix Version is released.

I think it took me about a day to understand how to create an QPKG.

You find a good documentation here.
http://wiki.qnap.com/wiki/QPKG_Development_Guidelines
Download the "QDK 2.0 Documentation" and read it first.

Then you install the QDK.

Then you sart creating a few config files, copy openhab in the right folders and start the building process.

Updating the package afterwards is easy as long as there are no compatibility issues or other problems with the new openhab version.

A day... Maybe during the week.
My 1 1/2 year old son is against leaving me alone for more than 10minutes during weekends :D
But sooner or later I have to spend that time because of updates and other things as well.

I will be happy to try out this package.
I already installed your first one (openHAB 1.5.1) which worked out of the box very well on my TS-419P.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
At the moment I am looking to install additionally "homegear" but there is no IPKG or QPKG available.

Cheers,
Axel
