hmm… I downloaded the package Stephane linked to after your post and I still can't properly update. And there's no Nzbdrone.update folder in the Nzbdrone folder.

edit: Nevermind, didn't read the rest of the thread. I'll revert Qmono back to the previous package and then update using your method.

@QNAP_Stephane

Thanks for the package, been wanting to run NZBDrone for a long time!

I have installed the Mono 3.12 package, and the Sonarr 2.0.0.3154 package.

Updating to 2.0.0.3212 doesn't report any errors during the process, but the log reveals:

Unrelated (maybe), but in http://forum.qnap.com/viewtopic.php?f=214&t=109446 you mention that Sonarr should work with Mono 4.0.1. Is that incorrect or is the info in the first post outdated here?

Thanks!

QMono 3.12 is known to be unstable (Mainly with MediaBrowser - Emby )

Qmono 4.0.1 is may be too recent to support some feature

I recommend use Qmono 3.10...

@QNAP_Stephane

First of thanks for taking the time to make this!

I have installed the Mono 3.10 package, and the Sonarr 2.0.0.3154 package.

When attempting to update to 2.0.0.3212 I get the following errors:

Code: Select all

I believe the problem is due to the backup of the database being saved to the /tmp (tmpfs) directory which has insufficient space (64MB) to backup my full database plus the other required files for update which kills the update mid process. To get Sonarr working again I need to reboot the NAS and reinstall the original Sonarr 2.0.0.3154 package which fixes the ramdisk errors. I believe if you were to compile a new .qpkg with the latest version it would work, but I have a feeling others will run into the same issue with large databases trying to update.

Thanks!

Hi All,

Just ran through an update to the latest version which failed with the error details below, looks like it's referencing an invalid processID?
Also, updated to the latest version of QMONO 4.0.1.0 based on the wiki info below.

Any ideas?

Cheers,
Adam
Mono version is less than 3.2, upgrade for improved stability

Sonarr is written in .Net and requires Mono to run. Versions of 3.2 and above resolved various stability issues we experienced in the past. Updating to at least version 3.2 is therefore highly recommended.

Just wanted to let you know that I had a problem with the update function inside QSonarr like others have reported before.
The problem was solved by doing the following:

remove QMono 4.0.1
switch off QSonarr in QTS
install QMono 3.10.0
switch on QSonarr
perform a manual update install in QSonarr
perform a manual restart in QSonarr.

My QSonarr qpkg-version is 1.50521.

Anyone know if there is a way to manually change this setting and what location I should change it to? I've been using Sonarr for a while and this has been an issue plaguing me from the jump and doesn't seem to be fixed no matter what compiled version I install.

Thanks in advance.

Weird issue,

does your home is well available for admin ?

I can eventually rebuild the application exporting home in a custom directory on RAID DATA Lun.. i think this could fix issue

but user who already use it will have to reinstall it and duplicate their actual files in the home admin to the new location to not loose their actual information related to Sonarr

The home directory does appear to be available with the admin account. The other possibility I thought of that might fix the issue would be to include an option in the update settings to run updates without doing a backup of the database if that is possible? If that can't be done I would have no problem recreating or moving my settings over to a new location if that resolves the issue.

Thanks for the update!

didnt check that point,
Thanks for this notification

i will make a symlink pointing from /tmp/nzbdrone_backup and /tmp/nzbdrone_update that should fix this issue

Perfect!

Could you give a notification when the changes have been made so we can test the fix? I believe it would require a new .qpkg being created allowing for a manual install/upgrade over the current version rather then an automatic update?

Thanks again!

just make some quick test, seems Sonarr doenst like symlink for update, if i add symlink i cant update anymore with :

Code: Select all

CommandExecutor	Error occurred while executing task ApplicationUpdate: Directory does not exist.
:S

may be removing those directories when qpkg stop, it can be a work around.. those both directories are created when you launch the updater
will be better if Sonarr could make some cleaning after an update

just post a github issue ( https://github.com/Sonarr/Sonarr/issues/600 )

I'm a sickrage user, but lately it fails snatching the series, so i'm looking and found sonarr...

Interface is great... Thanks for the port to QPKG
