[Linux Station] - IR Remote (RM-IR002) Problem
Good night to everyone, I`m having quite a difficult time trying to make my IR remote work with Linux Station - Ubuntu.
Tried LIRC, ir-keytable... but no dice, the fintek-cir is loaded but no command is received when on test mode.
Can anyone help?
Thanks

Sorry but until now didn't had the time to mess with the lxc, my solution was to get an remote and airmouse to control it, very satisfied with it for now.

Re: [Linux Station] - IR Remote (RM-IR002) Problem
I'm using logitech Harmony 600 programmed as QNAP media player remote. It works well in HybridDesk Station, but I couldn't get it work in LinuxStation.
ir-keytable command executed in LinuxStation (Ubuntu 16.04) returns this:
Found /sys/class/rc/rc0/ (/dev/input/event2) with:
Driver fintek-cir, table rc-rc6-mce
Supported protocols: lirc mce-kbd rc-6
Enabled protocols: lirc
Name: Fintek LPC SuperIO Consumer IR T
bus: 25, vendor/product: 1934:0010, version: 0x0007
Repeat delay = 500 ms, repeat period = 125 ms
So, I think the IR receiver is mapped in LinuxStation. However, I had no luck trying to get IR events using the same remote that works in HybridDesk.

Re: [Linux Station] - IR Remote (RM-IR002) Problem
I successfully managed to get my Harmony Elite to work with Linux Station (14.04) and program all remote's keys to do what I want, so it's possible !
Found /sys/class/rc/rc0/ (/dev/input/event3) with:
Driver ite-cir, table rc-rc6-mce
Supported protocols: NEC RC-5 RC-6 JVC SONY SANYO LIRC RC-5-SZ other
Enabled protocols: NEC
Name: ITE8708 CIR transceiver
bus: 25, vendor/product: 1283:0000, version: 0x0000
Repeat delay = 500 ms, repeat period = 125 ms
I choosed NEC protocol and used an unused remote to teach the Elite the IR codes.

I used "1.2 Alternative Installation method using InputLirc"
Note: I made it work with Kodi, this is the only thing I was interested.

can you share your ~/.kodi/userdata/Lircmap.xml ?

Re: [Linux Station] - IR Remote (RM-IR002) Problem
How does one change it in the LXC config file? Where is this file found? Thanks!father_mande wrote:Hi,
ALL devices are mapped in the LXC (Linux Station is a separate (from Container Station) containers based on a Ubuntu 14.04 chroot)

Philippe.
Update: Nevermind, found it -> $(getcfg ubuntu-hd install_path -f /etc/config/qpkg.conf)/lxc/ubuntu-hd (in my case)

Re: [Linux Station] - IR Remote (RM-IR002) Problem
I cannot get the remote working in Linux Station as well, and have tried both lirc, inputlirc, and ir-keytable -- same issue as previous user, kernel module/driver for remote is loaded (fintek-cir in my case) but just doesn't seem to be receiving any events from the remote. Works without issue in "standalone" Kodi / HD station, just not Linux Station.
Any help is appreciated!
