Is there a version for x41 that can work with firmware 4.2.0?

My TS228 cannot update past 4.2.0 firmware.

Doesn't work I'm afraid. Error log says it needs 4.2.2 to work.

4.3 is getting public beta release on December 5 and the TS228 will be eligible for that update so hoping it will work then.

Any idea why entware Ng is stopping my SMB server from streaming media?

I use entware for sickrage but if it is enabled then I cannot stream media via SMB or FTP without my TS228 rebooting. If I reboot my NAS, sickrage won't start unless entware is running. I can disable it once Sockrage has loaded.

Is there a way for me to install sickrage without being reliant on having entware running?

Otherwise I will likely make a script to launch entware on startup but then disable after 10 minutes or so I can still stream via SMB or FTP at my leisure.

Thanks heaps for the response so far.

So for what do you use this? Static Binary? Please explain.

Will Qffmpeg be discontinued?

Had the same issue yesterday, googling "static binary" - essentially in user terminology I guessed that it's the equivalent of just the executable, with no gui.

I used this one as I only needed the ffmpeg program itself, without the interface - launched it with command line from another program (http://beets.io) and it does everything I need to convert FLAC - Mp3

Im getting a lot of thumbnail generation erros in my logs. I understand ffmpeg is used to generate these thumbs.

But is it this one or the qnap one?

Could it be related somehow?

Does this libray provide transcoding hardware acceleration to QNAP Emby package?
Does it use HW acceleration to make the video compression/decompression?

I am looking for a way to activate HW acceleration in Emby.
Thank you.

Here is a manual how to run Emby in Linux Station with hardware accelerated transcoding working on a x64 QNAP NAS with QTS 4.3 Beta:

PS: Contacted the maintainer John Van Sickle of the popular static ffmpeg builds at https://www.johnvansickle.com/ffmpeg/. His answer to my question, if he could include VA-API in his static builds: "Sorry, there's a limitation in the va-api lib that prevents if from working when statically compiled." :(
