Re: Kodi17 qpkg

What I haven't figured out, is why even in XBMC 12.x, I cant access add-on repos and existing add-ons (like movie or TV info) "can't connect to remote server" anymore, when they used to work fine. Nothing wrong with my proxy settings (which are disabled).

Thoughts?

Builddate is 14 januari, so the RC4, i belief.

RC4 is considered as final i think.

RC4 was not released until January 27, 2017 so it might be RC3 which was released on January 12

That could be because the final is out. But, since he is not putting together the final, I guess you are right.

Yes indeed... his hard work is appreciated. Hopefully he will come back when the next beta round starts: Kodi18 B1? Otherwise we are going to be on the last Kodi17 RC for quite a while. :-(

Many thanks to Phillipe for his excellent work on providing Kodi to the Qnap Community. I just installed Kodi 17 from the link provided on the first page. I couldn't figure out why it was generating massive amounts of data in the log files. Then I noticed this:

14:50:48.849 T:140175374436352 NOTICE: Starting Kodi (17.0 Git:Unknown). Platform: Linux x86 64-bit
14:50:48.849 T:140175374436352 NOTICE: Using Debug Kodi x64 build
14:50:48.849 T:140175374436352 NOTICE: Kodi compiled Feb 2 2017 by GCC 4.9.4 for Linux x86 64-bit version 3.13.11 (199947)
14:50:48.849 T:140175374436352 NOTICE: Running on Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS, kernel: Linux x86 64-bit version 3.12.6

Was this done on purpose or was it an oversight? I have to believe it is causing Kodi to run slower.

Thanks again for the hard work!!

Same question from me. Also, his App store where to download KODI doesn't exists anymore, and the fact that the thread was closed without any advice doesn't let me think about anything good
