Hi All,
I have 1 Hyper-V Server 2016 installed in my Qnap (TS-453A) and it runs just fine. I connect to him with MMC Hyper-V management from a Windows 10...
The problem : i create a VM on the Hyper-V (Windows 2016 server), but it doesn't start... I have the error (picture 1)... The picture 2 is the same but in English (for the forum)...
When i run scripts (especially for Hyper-v) to see if the device and VM are ok with the virtualization, so no problem (it's fine : see the picture 3)...
The scripts :
.\Enable-SRV-HPR-01.ps1 -vmname WIN2016-LAB ===> OK
.\Get-NestedVirtStatus.ps1 ===> OK
Set-VMProcessor -ExposeVirtualizationExtensions $true ===> OK
don't understand what's the problem ???
Thanks a lot for your help to find an idea or a solution please !!!

Re: HYPER-V Server 2016 - Nested on NAS
Can someone tell me how these folders (and files insides) are created : (wich file .sh run to make that ???)
- /sys/module/kvm
- /sys/module/kvm_intel
Because i must to change the config of certain files Inside these folders. The problem is these folders are created in each reboot of the Qnap...
Perhaps it's the solution for me !!!
Thanks for your return !

Re: HYPER-V Server 2016 - Nested on NAS
Hi All,
so i got the response :
IT'S NOT POSSIBLE
Seen with a Qemu specialist ! The version of the linux into the nas is older (perhaps for stability...). The version now is 4.2.8 and it must be 4.10 !!! And the version of Qemu/KVM (now 2.3.1) must be recent too (at least 2.7).
So we can't upgrade Kemu because Linux on the nas must be upgraded too...
A recent kernel is required for Hyper-V to function properly.
NESTED with Hyper-V 2016 on the nas Qnap is not for today...
