I continue to have frustrations getting remote access to work for my PMS installed on a TVS471.
Let me describe my current configuration.
LAN1: Local Fiber Router E’net connection
LAN2: ExpressVPN Router E’net connection
I do not have access to the local fiber router configuration (the island provider locks it down). I do have access to the Express VPN Linksys configuration, although am of course limited to the options and features of that custom software.
I’d like to access the PMS when out of the house but have been unable to with the current configuration.
Any ideas or help would be great.

Re: Remote Access Frustrations
you need a fully accessible ip to contact your server
if neither connection provides it, you would need an access vpn solution ... open vpn provides something like in combination with aws (or others)
there was a thread about it a couple of months ago (to traverse multiple nat for colo access)

Re: Remote Access Frustrations
How exactly is that all wired? Are you saying you actually have 2 different LAN's, or are you saying those two routers are in series. (Internet-->Fiber Router-->ExpressVPN -->QNAP)
You need to use a port forward with ExpressVPN, you can see the steps here: https://www.expressvpn.com/support/trou ... rt-forward
Then forward port 3400 to your QNAP's ip address with port 32400. I'm still not sure if this will work because the outside client might pull up the IP address of the VPN instead of you actual VPN. You may also need to set up some kind of DDNS script to get your real IP address and use that to access plex.
