it will be interesting to see how your new ts-431 firmware goes. I'm still going strong, a month and a half now, no reboots on any of the NAS's I support. Still using the 2017 firmware of course.

Hi guys! I think my 431P running the latest software (4.3.4 0597) is suffering from the same issue: random reboots and random unplugged disk errors. Can you guys share the TS-X31_20180612-4.3.4.0615 firmware so I can try it as well? QNAP support is incredibly slow...
Thanks

Dont' think TS431P is running the same firmware as TS431 so the firmware given by QNAP for fixing my NAS problem should not be installed in your NAS.

https://www.qnap.com/en/download?model= ... y=firmware

https://www.qnap.com/en/download?model= ... y=firmware

So please consult the official QNAP support for the newer firmware.

To report back, I have been running the newer firmware for 8 days and have no reboot issue. In-between, I ran the RAID scrubbing process once smoothly.

Ah, you are right, that software won't work on my 431p. I asked support to check if there is something similar for 431p...unless none of you guys have this in your hands?

Try this link for TS431 updated firmware

https://drive.google.com/file/d/15bfjqo ... sp=sharing
(TS-X31_20180612-4.3.4.0615.img)

Please note you are on your own risk using it. It works on my machine does not guarantee it will work on others.

But this version of firmware will deactivate the License Center.

Qnap support team gave me a replacement License Center App with this download link to reactivate the License Center

https://drive.google.com/open?id=1t5-J6 ... Mm8E0jIMu1

Note: arm_ms = x31 series

But if you are not in a hurry, it is still suggested you contact QNAP support team for they may have a more updated firmware for you try. And what is important is they can help follow up your case if you have got any problem of trying out the Unofficial firmware.

Good Luck.

Thanks, flashed on OK and automatically downloaded license center from the qnap store once updated. Now to see if I get the random reboots back.

Keep us posted on how long it will be UP....

My TS-653A (without the license...) is now running for a month!

Mine has been up for 14 days without any problems.

But I received an official update notification today for my NAS: "A newer firmware version (4.3.4.0644 Build 20180710) is now available for download"

Not sure if I should update to this version. I am now checking with the QNAP support team for the advice.

Let us know the response from QNAP support...I also receive the update notice on my other NAS, so this should be shortly for my ts-653A...

the latest update says it fixes random reboots, I'm installing it now to test it, I think they have fixed it in this update as the previous unreleased firmware resolved it so they must know what's wrong, updating all the ts-431 and ts-431p's I support now in faith they have fixed the issue.
