WD100EFAX 10TB Red works with 419P+ ?

hello all,

does anyone know if the 10TB Red Nas work with my 419P+ ? i am supposed to upgrade but not sure if it is compatible.

Did you check the compatibility list?
Use the forum search feature before posting.

Use RAID and external backups. RAID will protect you from disk failure, keep your system running, and data accessible while the disk is replaced, and the RAID rebuilt. Backups will allow you to recover data that is lost or corrupted, or from system failure. One does not replace the other.

also be aware that your old nas does not support volumes with more than 16TB

I have checked the compatibility and it show as follows, does it mean it is ok for gold version?, and red nas version is not mentioned

pretty sure the drive would work...

only sensible option for 4 of those, would be single drives or two raid1 single volumes

dont forget regular external backups

tks Dolbyman for reply, so you mean the 10TB Red will work or the 10TB Gold will work?

Hello friend,

I just bought 10TB Red and it fits physically, i notice it size is quite the same as 6TB RED but a bit lighter, even though only 2 screw holes fit , but 2 is enough to hold it tight and important that it works fine in my 419P+, I set up as single drive hence no problem with 16TB max limit.
