TS-251 USB 3.0 Device not recognized

Post by Zynic »

I run a TS-251 with 2 USB 3.0 ports (front/back). If I connect my external device ASMT 2115 via USB 3.0 cable (blue/back) it is not recognized. It only works on the USB 2.0 port. Do you have a clue?

just for everyone wondering:

ASMT 2115 seems to be a USB HDD controller , so it is probably an external drive enclosure you are connecting (you did not give this information)

@ dolbyman, sorry for unprecise request. ASMT 2115 is build in a 3.5" HDD case with High Speed controller with Data Transfer up to 5 Gbps. installed is a Toshiba 2.0 TB 3.5" Disk Drive DT01ACA200

Selfhealing? I have just switched the USB cable and now USB 3.0 has been recognized. Well, problem closed, but how? Connection?.... Thanks for reading.

If TS-251 will be started after shutdown or sleep mode, the ASMT 2115 will not be connected, when it is itself in power on mode. After power off/on the ASMT 2115, the TS-251 connects right away.
