QSync sign-in screen for myQNAPcloud broken

Post by HFKDE »

Qsync windows client version 4.3.1.0723 is not able to connect to an NAS via QID because when entering email and password to sign in, the app directs to an invalid domain ("com.qnap.qsync.windows") and produces a web error. Pictures of sign-in window and error attached. NAS is a TS253Be and says it is up to date on firmware 4.3.4.0695 build 20180830.

apparently that verizon DNS (with sneaky revenue generating search page) has issues finding the page ... switch to e.g. google DNS (8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4) and try again

Thanks I'm going to try that. Maybe the domain lookup is being rewritten by Verizon and flipped around mistakenly in the process.

Installing Qsync recently on a new pc revealed that this issue persists in the current 4.3.9 windows client. DNS changes suggested earlier in this thread do not work.

Does someone know what causes this? I've seen a few others mention it here and on the web now too.

Between both updating to the latest 4.3.9 Qsync client, build 1302, and changing DNS servers again, the sign-in started going through.
