Qnap ts-451u Active Directory with in house Exchange server

Qnap version is 4.3.6.0805 which should be the most recent.

Having hard time getting qnap to send email. IP, DNS, Gateway all set to static IPs.

Internal network email can be sent anonymous by several servers with no problem.

I have tried AD fqdn mail server name and IP address of same server with no luck.

Port number 25 works for internal servers to send anonymous in house messages.

My email server is Exchange 2010 version 14.3

My problem is when I try to send a test email no useful error message, what I get is "unable to send the test email. Check your email settings and network connection."

I know the network works but I love my qnap and its 32 cameras are recording wonderfully.

Does anyone have a good idea on how to make Qnap play nice with my exchange server? :DD

If all else fails should I switch to gmail?

Did you add the NAS under

Exchange Server Config/HubTransport/MailServer-Receive Connectors/network_devices(or whatever you want to call that group)/"Here make sure the NAS is in the list of allowed devices in network tab"
