Remote LDAP Server shows online but no users are showing

Post by thepiscean »

Hi Everyone,
Good day. I am using NAS TS-453BU-RP with version 4.3.6.0805 (28-12-2018) and have configured remote a connection to Remote LDAP Server Windows Server 2008 R2. The status shows online. However, i dont see any users in the domain user list. Can any one help in addressing this issue ?

Regards
Salman

Same problem. TVS-1282T3 model upgraded to latest firmware 4.3.6.0895 build 20190328.
Opened support ticket but in my experience with all issues encountered in this QNAP, no support rep has ever come back with a resolution.
Either you find a solution on your own or in the forums..

Can you prove you can join to LDAP using some other host?

Hi,

I have same issue. TS-431P with 4.3.6.0895. I opened a ticket on QNAP support and I got "interesting" requests. They ask for LDAP OS version, server version and sladd.conf. I started the Get-ADRootDSE-Server command and sent them a result in the txt file. And get this replay from them : "I can't be sure which are the answers from the ea.txt.Could you help to answer the following questions one by one, thanks." After that, they requested from me to give them Active Directory domain admin user name and password and allow them uncontrolled and unrestricted access to NAS via the helpdesk application. Amazing.
