Failed Disk replaced from TS 453 Pro

Post by integrity »

Hello All,
I am using TS 453 Pro Nas with 6 tb 4 nas drive.
Here is the hard drive detail : (HGST HDN726060ALE610 NAS Drives SATA 6Gb/s (SATA III) APGNT517 6000.)

All drives running on Raid 10. So now i lost two Hard drive(Disk 1 and Disk4) . And now i want replace those hard-drive. So could you please suggest me to how to do setup with it.
Do i have to power off Nas and then remove failed hard-drive and plug it back new hard-drive?
Could you please give me suggestion for the same.

Note: Current i am able to access data...

Thanks,

As you can access your data with two drives down I would consider reducing or stopping as much App activity as you can.

Reduces rebuild times, reduces processor stress, reduces possibility of further errors or total catastrophic failure during rebuild.

I prefer to play it safer than sorrier.

RAID10 recovery only stresses the mirror pair drive (not all members like RAID5 or 6), so a swap ASAP should be the way to go
