DDNS Failed to Update
Hi, my DDNS update has been working fine for over a year now but recently I have been getting the following error :- Network and Virtual Switch Failed to Update DDNS "No-IP"
Anyone else having problems or can someone please shed some light on this problem.

Re: DDNS Failed to Update
I have received the same error message since the last update. However, when I check no-ip and check the QNAP control panel, it shows that the update did happen.
Not sure if it is an intermittent problem or just a false error message.

Hi,
Made a ticket when I did my previous post.
Got the following answer:
The bug will be fixed in the QTS 20190822_4.4.1.1037 and later.
There is hope

Re: DDNS Failed to Update
And what are we to do in the meantime? My NAS doesn't have a connection with the outside world at all anymore so i'm not getting firmware updates anymore either.

Re: DDNS Failed to Update
Till today even with version 4.4.1.1117 on TS-451, I'm still facing the DDNS issue. almost every week it fails to update and never be able to update again till I reboot the system completely.
Disabling and re-enabling the DDNS service still doesn't allow the system to update DDNS.
This is been going on for many months now.

Re: DDNS Failed to Update
This is getting worse and worse. I have to reboot my Qnap on weekly bases -sometimes more than once a week- just to make the device talk to the internet and update DDNS.
I'm not sure what can be done

Re: DDNS Failed to Update
This is still broken. Just installed a new TS-253Be updated to latest firmware. It intermittently works and doesn't work, mostly does not work.

Re: DDNS Failed to Update
Here is a temporary work around. Go to your No-IP settings online and change the hostname (redirectme.net etc) to point to a C name of your myqnapcloud.com address. Or for that matter, just use your myqnapcloud.com address. This all assumes you are using myqnapcloud.
