How to disable / remove Notification Center 4.3.5.0728

So I have no use for or interest in it, but it's now wasting a huge chunk of the Event Notifications dropdown with an absolutely useless piece of spam.

Does anyone know of a way to remove this junk message - or even the whole damn thing?

I'm not interested in wasting my time setting up a fake notification - but some hacky way to make it think that there's something there might even work.

After system upgraded to new Notification Center it broke all of my system reports. For example, have sold hundreds of QNAP NAS for client backup system. For many years have had a backup program send e-mail after job finished. Backup job no longer sends reports. E-mail settings worked fine for years, still works for other programs using same settings, but will no longer send e-mail of backup status from QNAP. Hope they fix this soon or will have to find another device to use for client backups. Backup reports are critical to this function.

Annoyed by notifications for years. "malware scanner started." "malware scanner stopped." "backup started." "backup stopped." Why not just tell me when something bad happens?

Same with me, I hate that I can't delete/remove these useless apps. QNAP has quite a level of presumptive arrogance by thinking that all users have a need/use for these apps.

Users should be able to remove apps that they have no need or use for.

I've gone to the notification centre, I've created rules, yet it still tells me to go to the notification centre and create some rules!

Is it braindead, or am I?

Notification center is a piece of junk that consumes resources, thus reducing value of NAS.
Make it optional download from the App center.
