So every now and then I'd come to this forum in hope to find a new hardware release or a promo discount as such.. to my f*** luck this promo came and left.
I had no idea, I received no email of such promo either.
Did anybody take advantage of this deal or does anybody know if this deal is still going as the news doesn't mention of an end date?
Also how the do you even use this promo, there is no code mention on the news.

While I kick myself here for missing the promo, I am also wondering if this qnap's way of cleaning house for Ryzen Gen 2. and so I should be that upset.

Contact qnap or simplynas.com
I bought allegedly the last ts-1277 1700. available in the us.
I live in the Philippines and the deal was offered here but was a lot more than buying in us and even with $200 shipping cost.

Thanks, @rgarjr for the link, I saw that link but it read 10% so i didn't' bother reading into it as my posting was about 20% .
However, my questions are as following :
1. Why do I have to email someone @qnap to get a promo code? Why can't they simply post it and let the people decide if they want to use it or not?
Even if the promo is exclusive to this forum members.
2. Does this mean that Ryzen Gen 2 is around the corner and this promo is to boost sales for Gen 1 and house cleaning?
I would be really ** if I bought Gen 1 today and then a month later Gen 2 is announced. I have been running a 2 bay Synology DS212 for about 6 years now and since they're not really big on bumping up CPU power I am jumping ships and going for a way better performing NAS and so this is why I am concerned about qnap's 2nd Gen Ryzen release.

I believe now the current TS-x77 models have the ryzen 2600/2700 although Qnap doesn’t show them on the specs sheet. Same thing occurred with the TVS-x82 line where the specs showed them still had a 6th gen, but they had the 7th gen.

How sure are you that TS-x77 models have the ryzen 2600/2700 although Qnap doesn’t show /?

If you are talking about 77 series tower model, if you ordered one right now, I expect you would get a first-gen CPU.
But for the rackmount, ryzen5 and 7 would be second gen.

All your questions are answered!
BTW look at CPU benchmark for 1700 and 2700 ! U will be less concerned about a new model coming out later!

Is this offer still valid and does this apply to UK? I went to the link, but didn't see the process. So I assume we would need to email the marketing department, or someone else to get a code? I am interested in the TS-1677x as I am selling an older rack mount i5 system. Thanks for any updates.
