Halo,
due to motherboard failure of a qnap TS-809U-RP firmware 4.2.6 i had to move disks to a qnap TS-EC879U-RP firmware 4.3.5 that qnap says is compatible.
I can see the data and everything is working but there is warning message : "The firmware versions of the system built-in flash (4.3.5 Build 20181114) and the hard drive (4.2.6 Build 20170729) are not consistent. It is recommended to update the firmware again for higher system stability".
If i procced with the firmware update to 4.3.6 (4.3.5 is not available on qnap site) will i lose my data or not (10 TB)?
thank you

Re: TS-809U-RP TO TS-EC879U-RP
data should stay intact
but have external backups in any case
also that legacy volume will be missing out on features..so you should wipe and restore that new unit
