I'm new to Qnap, trying to add a new computer to the server, - if someone can direct me to a guide of how this is done would be much appreciated.

please elaborate more on what you are trying to do
e.g.
Trying to add a network share from the NAS on Windows 10
Trying to add a network share from the NAS on MacOSXYZ
Trying to add a network share from a Windows 10 computer to the NAS (that also works)
etc.
e.g.
Trying to add a network share from the NAS on Windows 10
Trying to add a network share from the NAS on MacOSXYZ
