copying files to shared folder via nfs create 0KB files
QNAP TS-432XU firmware 4.4.2.1262 or TS-432XU firm 4.4.1.1216
it's impossible to copy file on qnap via nfs : the procedures create same files with 0KB dimension.
No problem same procedures, same files, same clients to shared folder via nfs on others QNAP TS-231P
Please help, it's necessary for backups

Yes, same NFS settings.
But the problem is not for the clients. The clients can access to shared folder. Copying creates only empty file on qnap.

Typically that's a permission issue.

Re: copying files to shared folder via nfs create 0KB files
I add this information
trying to copy a file from source folder (client linux) to destination folder (qnap)
so copying file "sourcefold/myfile.txt" from client to qnap share folder "destinationfold".
As result, on the qnap I have a file "destinationfold/myfile.txt" empty (0 KB) and on the client i have the error Cannot complete the operation because the file or folder sourcefold/myfile.txt already exists.

How much trouble would it give you resetting the config on that box?

No troubles because the nas is not in production but i don't know how to reset. Why would you do this? i passed from original firmware to latest firmware without any solution. What should be better ?storageman wrote: ↑Fri Apr 03, 2020 10:45 pm How much trouble would it give you resetting the config on that box?

Some setting got screwed seems like.
Go for 3 second reset, or go through Control Panel. Reset settings

If this doesn't fix it would ticket time.

Re: copying files to shared folder via nfs create 0KB files
Finally i found the solution. even if it is not very elegant.
I downgraded the nas to the same firmware that i have in the oldest. From 4.4.1 (4.4.2) to 4.3.6
All works like a charm.
I'm waiting for support's answer.

Odd, 4.3.6.1070 build 20190919 says: "Users could not access mounted shared folders via NFS."
So having fixed it in 4.3.6 did they mess it up again!

Perhaps it's linux problem. I found over the net two other posts with same situation
