myqnapcoud not installed error message

Over the last few days I've sometimes been unable to access my Qnap remotely
I get the message
myqnapcloud link is not installed or does not function correctly.

I've not changed anything,regarding settings or router and the only way I can currently resolve it is to have somebody in the office perform a restart to the box

Any ideas ?

I'd like to know what has caused this error,are you saying if I get a VPN it will definitely fix it

when accessing the NAS via VPN, it's like being in your home network

and you setup a VPN, you don't "get" it, don't mix it up with privacy and unblock VPN's you have to pay for
