any opinions on this product? unlike the tr series which has raid, the TL series seems to be JBOD :'

which is better?

the video did explain raid is possible but only via windows 10 storage spaces.

there is also raid mdam via linux, can someone explain how that works? :'

and if software raid would work, would it be possible for qts hero to run on this kind of device to create a raid since it's software?

Also trying to find out information about these.

According to the compatibility list, TVS-1282 is compatible https://view.publitas.com/qnap-1/tl-usb ... n/page/4-5

Yet it states USB 3.2 Gen 2 required and that the QNAP expansion card is not supported:

"The TL-D800C doesn’t support ASM1142 USB controller IC based USB ports and PCIe expansion cards (e.g. QNAP USB-U31A2P01 expansion card)"

I don't know if the page has been updated now - but it currently states that its only Gen 1 required, although obviously performance will be better with Gen 2
