Boxafe Google API OAuth Auth People invalid scope

Post by movcpm »

I have just installed Boxafe. Following this guide. https://www.qnap.com/en-us/how-to/tutor ... or-g-suite

All goes well until step 15. It seems Google have updated their system / screens etc. I found the new screens to enter the API controls (its under domain wide delegation). I get the following error message when I try to add this api.
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/people - invalid scope.

I cannot proceed further - unless i remote that API, which I think will break the application.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

I know this is not the answer you want to hear for this issue, but just don't use any of QNAPs apps like this.

QNAP is just soooo far behind the curve when it comes to security updates and keeping current with security changes. The QMAIL app is just another example of how far out of date QNAP is when it comes to keeping up-to-date with application security.

QNAP design great hardware and makes a great storage device (NAS), but other deeper enterprise use is better served by running a VM with proper applications running in the VM.
RAID is not a Back-up!

I'm stuck at the exact same stage. The step by step is out of sync with the G-Suite Admin screens. Can't get to step 15.2 Enable API Access and 15.3 Manage API client access areas have changed. Anyone figure this out?
