Dear all,
Out of the blue, my NAS just suddenly had all 4 HDD lights red, yellow flashing Status, and blue LAN.
This happened about 4 weeks ago, and only now I had a chance to sit down to resolve this.
I am happy to open this up and do some test, but kinda need some starting point on where to look.
Many thanks in advance.
Warm regards,
CT

Details of my NAS
QNAP TS-451+
Bought it on Jan 2016
The troubleshooting steps I took
Steps taken to troubleshoot:
1) With all four still HDDs in:
- HDD lights red, LAN light blue, Status flashing yellow
- No access to the WebUI
2) Force shut by pressing the power button for a long time. Restart:
- Same LED lights, HDD lights red, LAN light blue, Status flashing yellow
- No access to the WebUI
3) Forces shut. Took all the four drives out. Restart.
- Same LED lights, HDD lights red, LAN light blue, Status flashing yellow
- This time got to the WebUI that says you need at least one HDD installed. [http://192.168.1.200:8080/cgi-bin/quick ... iskmissing]
Pushed in HDD1
- No change noticed. Refreshed page and still nothing.
Reboot from WebUI
- Same LED lights, HDD lights red, LAN light blue, Status flashing yellow
- No access to the WebUI
4) Repeat (3) above with different HDD
- Same result as Step 3

Re: All 4 HDD lights red
could be a busted backplane ...only a repair (qnap does not sell parts) or new nas would help here

I have a similar issue but my status led is off. Did you manage to solve this?
