Getting only 100mbps even with gigabit setup
Hi, i have QNAP NAS 219P II,it has gigabit port, i am using CAT6 cable (just 1 meter) to connect with my Gigabit Router (ASUS RT-AC68P), i can only transfer files to my pc over lan at 100mbps. transfer rate is about 10/11 mb/s.. In network settings it show that i am connected with 100mbps speed.. In same pc i can download files from internet about 25mb/s as my fiber internet connection is 250mbps.. Somebody know tips to make it conect using 1000mbps?
Thanks
Thanks

have you tried changing the cable ?
even though you will never reach 1GbE speeds on that 10 year old NAS..connection speed should be shown as such

Yes.. I changed today to 2 different cat6 cable.. never tried gigabit connection as my internet connection was 50mbps.. Now that i have 250mbps, would be great has this on my NAS too.. Yes, its old, but it is gigabit.. Its clear show that is limiting 10% of that.. 100mbps.. I thnk could be some setting in 219P II.. As all my another devices in same network is getting full speend.. even 2008 old computer (gigabit interface too)..

is your network speed set to fixed or auto? (what firmware are you on?)

either you have a faulty Cable or one of the two interfaces are setup incorrectly. (LAN PORT on router or Port on NAS)

Re: Getting only 100mbps even with gigabit setup
Hi, cable is perfect. Tested it conecting my gigabit pc to router and got full speed internet (250mb), now i am using same cable to connect router to NAS. What you mean with incorrect setup at lan port on router or NAS? I would need change http port? Actually it use 8080 port. If not, do you know where i can locate this config to check if its correct on NAS? Thank you

@Ilmamonteiro
and ? did you ever get an idea what the reason for the limited speed was / is ?
can see the same on a 419p+, settings say 1GbE ... several cable tested, different switches, direct connection to PC
but for any reason, it will not be faster than about 10 MB/sec which looks like 100Mbit ...
