hello yujungchang, i did it !!
Now my Qnap TS-453 mini works perfectly thanks to you.
A friend of mine has a TVS-463 with the same problem. (System botting >>>).
Do you think it's possible to fix it?
I have seen that he has an AMD G-series GX-424CC CPU.
can it work?

different CPU brand, doubtful that it is the same issue

that booting message is the default of the LCD .. it just means that no signal is ever written to the LCD due to unsuccessful or incomplete boot

What do you think it could be?
I have already replaced ram, power supply and dom but the result does not change.

Great, nice to hear you stick to it and get it all working again!
Unfortunately this is specific to certain Intel CPU models/steppings, so it's not applicable to the newer/older Intel cpu/steppings or any of the AMD.
I'm sure AMD has its own share of issues, but I'm not familiar with their designs and won't be able to help.

Thanks yujungchang. I applied the fix at pin 1 and 8 on my TS-251. Here's some pics that may help some others with the same issue on TS-251.
I did contact QNAP support and they wanted $140 to try and fix it.

Presumably you know this isn't a permanent fix - it just extends the working life somewhat.
Useful for providing a chance to retrieve data that has not been backed up.
The underlying cause is a design weakness in the CPU that causes a progressive deterioration of an I/O signal.

So I can't sell it - it will be dead again? Interesting, how long it takes to die again?

Interesting, how long it takes to die again?
That's not something that can be easily predicted.
It would depend on how much deterioration has already occurred, for example.
The effect doesn't occur when the device is powered off, so that can be used to extend the remaining life.

Check out some google searches on "intel cpu electromigration" for example.
Or the Wikipedia article on the topic - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electromigration
Buried in this large thread also are links to Intel's advisories on the elevated susceptibility of the specific CPU used in these NAS models.
