TS-873A RAM
I want to upgrade my TS-873A to 64GB. It supports ECC. Has anyone found any third-party RAM that works?

Re: TS-873A RAM
Hi All,
I can confirm the following SO-DIMM ECC modules from Kingston work with the TS-873A:
KINGSTON Server Premier - KSM26SED8/32ME
[32GB PC4-2666 CL19 ECC 260 - Pin SODIMM]
Two of the above memory modules will be needed for 64 GB of RAM.
QNAP QuTS hero shows 62.77 GB of RAM usable and SSH shell shows memory correction type as ECC (see screen shots):
Cheers.

Re: TS-873A RAM
I also bought two KSM26SED8/32ME. They work, but I had to swap the modules. It might have just been a seating issue but the system wouldn't come up with one of the modules in the first RAM slot.
To troubleshoot I removed the second SODIMM, still no boot, removed the first SODIMM and installed the one that was in the second slot and everything came up, then put the one that was in the first slot in the second slot and everything came up and the system recognizes it and doesn't report any errors.

Re: TS-x53d RAM Upgrade Informative Guide (TS-653D, TS-453D, TS-253D, TS-251D, TS-451D2)
I will need community help with an upgrade of memory for a QNAP TS-873A from 1 x 8GB to 2 x 32GB
this is what I am looking at:
Mushkin - MRA4S320NNNF32GX2 - 2 x 32GB - 3200 - 22 - 1.2 V - Non-ECC
(https://www.poweredbymushkin.com/Home/i ... ifications)
Crucial- CT2K32G4SFD832A - 2 x 32GB - 3200 - 22 - 1.2 V - Non-ECC
(https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr4/ct2k32g4sfd832a)
Corsair- CMSX64GX4M2A3200C22- 2 x 32GB- 3200- 22- 1.2 V- Non-ECC
(https://www.corsair.com/eu/en/Categorie ... tech-specs)
Kingston- KF432S20IBK2/64- 2 x 32GB- 3200- 20- 1.2 V- Non-ECC
(https://www.kingston.com/dataSheets/KF432S20IBK2_64.pdf)
G.Skill- F4-3200C22D-64GRS- 2 x 32GB- 3200- 22- 1.2 V- Non-ECC
(https://www.gskill.com/product/2/197/15 ... C22D-64GRS)
I have already read the ititial recommandations, but I think most of it is valid for TS x5X NAS, also in my region the 3200 RAM modules are cheaper than 2666.
Thank you in advance.

Why not go ECC?
And, I guess this would better go to another thread as it's a different line of products (so we won't mix up RAM recommendations). There's also this: viewtopic.php?t=160617
I'm using KSM26SED8/16HD by the way (edit: on a TS-673A)

Really Good Idea, thank you !
I hope one of the Admins will move my post there, thank you, I am not sure why but could not find that post initially.Kunzite wrote: ↑Thu Apr 06, 2023 8:07 pm And, I guess this would better go to another thread as it's a different line of products (so we won't mix up RAM recommendations). Re: TS-873A RAM
Thank you Paul for your recommandation, trying to get the exact same model as you I found that Part Number: KSM26SED8/32ME has been Replaced by: KSM26SED8/32MF I hope the latter will also work on my QNAP TS-873A, will purchase and confirm back.

Re: TS-873A RAM
Moved and topic reopened (even though it was necroposting..if we make it a compatibility discussion thread)

Re: TS-873A RAM
The Kingston memory finder says KSM26SED8/32HC and KSM26SED8/32MF are compatible (32GB ECC modules).
Don't forget to keep the original RAM, just in case (e.g. if you need QNAP support and they balk at your "non-QNAP" RAM)
