I am trying to backup all of my plex data files to another physical device. The plex files are located at
/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/PlexMediaServer
Unfortunately this location is not accessible in file station or hybrid backup sync, which only sees shared directories.
My painful workaround is to ssh to the QNAP, copy the files from this inaccessible directory to a accessible shared folder, and then copy that folder to my local mac.
There must be a better way ....

This may be of interest to you, and is fairly simple to do.caprichoso wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2019 3:35 pm I am trying to backup all of my plex data files to another physical device. The plex files are located at

Finally, sometime time ago mid-2020'ish iirc, plex updated their package which created a PlexData directory.
