I think you cannot use username admin on new installs, try something else

rebooted and restarted with another one- same thing- hangs right here.
What a pos of Taiwanese engineering honestly...

NEVER had that many issues with any pc tech before...

P.S. Tried swapping drives between slots 1 and 2 - same thing
When drive is in slot 1 it shows as disk 3....
When i turned it off and put in the 2nd drive it showed them as disks 3 and 4...

Shouldn't they show as disks 1 and 2 and not 3 and 4?

Thanks!

I wonder if UPS connected via USB might have anything to do with it but I doubt it... Haven't tried unplugging it yet

Yep - letters upper and lower+numbers -8 chars long. I would imagine it will warn you if the pass is not secure but it just sits there with "next" greyed out after i pressed it- i waited over 24hrs-nothing...

I tried multiple -username pass combos -it always freezes here and doesn't go further - opened a ticket already with qnap...
Looks like hds are good at least - as they are identified in disk details...

I tried inserting each one on their own and same story....
I can hit "back" and it will go back to firmware version page but it doesn't go past the "next" on the user creation screen

Yes, specifically selected 673-a to be compatible with 22tb drive. It's on their compatibility page.

Thanks!

I don't think 1 and 2nd slots are for ssd drives- these are regular 3.5" bays. The way qfinder shows disks is 1-8 and 673A only has 6 so they start from disk 3 to disk 8 -strange decision... I also tried in slots 3 and 4 - same thing. Tried a variety of usernames....

Downgrading firmware might be a thing to do... I will wait what qnap techs say tomorrow. I specifically wanted latest firmware due to 22TB drives being so new and might not be supported with earlier firmware.

As qrusher said, disks 1 and 2 correspond to the 2 M.2 SSD slots - those are internal, there are no bays for them.
There's no other reason to start counting the 3.5" bays from 3.

As for your issue... the obvious things were already mentioned. I would guess the passwords don't match, but that would happen once or twice, not every single time.

Ahh thank you. Makes sense about the internal ssd slots now.

Passwords definitely match. I think it might be a firmware issue as it was just released a few days ago and i might have to downgrade to an earlier version.

Downgraded to 2131 and bingo!
Everything works!

Connected APC UPS 1500-works via USB
Doing a raid1 setup with 2 HDDs and will add a 3rd one in the next few days for RAID5.
2145 is a problem firmware it seems!
