Hi there,
Firstly, apologies if this is the wrong area for this question, please move to an a more suitable area.
Now the question.
I have a QNAP TS453Be with 4 4TB HD in a RAID 5 array. One storage pool, 3 volumes and neither at capacity.
The NAS reported issues with one of the disk and the SMART errors started to increase.
I replaced the disk withe the same make, model, size etc.
Pulled the disk out and reinserted the new disk and let the raid array rebuild. 8 hours later and the system was fully functioning again apart the status LED flashing Red and Green.
I checked what the sequence indicated and it's none of the usual suspects.
The disk isn't formatting, The array has been rebuilt. The firmware isn't being updated. The drive is valid, i can see it in Storage and Snapshots.
I can use the NAS as normal just the flashing led that causing me concern.
Does anyone have any suggestions for what is causing the status led to flash and how to stop it?
Many Thanks for all your help in the past.

Re: Red Green Flashing Light
Red light normally means some sort of issue (maybe the volume/pool is over capacity threshold?)
