(sorry in advance, my english is not very good)
Id like to know if there is a way to make the access more secure.
I want to promt my users for their credentials if the shared folders haven't been used for a moment or after they have locked their session.
I tried to connect the folder as a drive and i did not check the box to remember credentials. i tought it would work after a reboot. In reality, when the computer reboot it just says it cannot restore the drive and it does not ask for user info.
I would prefer something that is user-friendly because the end-users aren't very good with computers.
File sharing with a credential promt over time

Hi and welcome to the forum.
The authentication "prompt" is generated by your client OS, not the NAS.
What you want to do will depend entirely on the capabilities of your client device(s) OS.
OS typically store provided authentication details as a user convenience. It sounds like you will need to find a way to make the authentication storage ephemeral (temporary).
