Hi guys.. I have a big problem.I state that if I write here it's because I don't have a backup of the files. Some time ago about 5 years ago I created the folder named Recording where I put numerous video memories of my family. Now, all the files in this folder and their subfolders are gone.... in property management it gives me zero bytes... Checking from the system logs the last access to the folder was in May 2023...in all other folders such as multimedia, documents and movies nothing.
I checked with the winSCP program and I tried in the SHARE volume to do a search in that folder of a .mp4 file and nothing.... I just don't know how to do it... I'm sure the files are all still there because I would never dream of deleting them... From the system logs there is nothing deleted or modified in the Recording folder where I had all my family memories.... I'm not very familiar with handling putty and the support for my product to submit a ticket is Expired because my TS 670 Pro has reached the end of its life

Re: file disappear
Hi Dolbyman and thanks for replying.
unfortunately it's not like last time....now only the content and all its files have disappeared within a single folder...and precisely the RECORDING folder I created and shared...do you have any idea to give me?
any command to run without dismounting any volume?
I would be very grateful and thank you for your patience with me

Re: file disappear
Same as last time that you had no backups (you had the chance to develop a backup strategy)...impossible to know what happened to your NAS without forensic direct access to your NAS (like a mentioned recovery company)

Re: file disappear
I launched the command /etc/init.d/init_lvm.sh and now the system tells me that the file system is not clean and suggested that I run the cleanup... before running the cleanup I took a look in the folder recording and the files are still not there while everything else is exactly in place as before opening this help post...
I attach photos of the command launched via putty

Re: file disappear
Unbelievable! If you have been hit already by such an issue years ago and did not learn about a backup, no comment!
Dealing with large data requires dealing with large backup capacity.
A corrupted file system ("not clean") could be caused by several issues, i.e. HW error, power failure, ...
Its a 50:50 chance to get back data.
Again: backups are mandatory!

A raid is never a substitute for backup! Never!
