WHAT! No support for Dolby or DTS or HD AUDIO? Seriously? AC3 / EAC3 / DTS Not Supported

So, I purchased this thing thinking I would be able to stream my video collection among all the other uses, but in order to do that, I need to convert all my files to something other than HD AUDIO (Dolby/DTS). I thought purchasing the CAYIN MediaSign Player Plus would support these formats, but no... Searching here and elsewhere it seems QNAP dropped support for these audio CODECs long ago.

Again, would gladly pay addition licensing or for a better app, at least give us the OPTION to utilize it and pay more if required for licensing. QNAP streaming capability is USELESS if there's no way to support INDUSTRY STANDARD formats! The whole point is to have ONE product support everything in a "high-end" device, not rely on a third-party streaming device and simply use it as a basic NAS. Oh well, I guess NVIDIA or others will get my money instead QNAP...

Always read the sticky .. and don't use the NAS as a player or QNAP apps.. easy peasy

I stream from multiple QNAP via Plex and Atmos (tHD or DD+) or DTS:X work just fine
