It should also be possible to expand the NAS with only 1 HDD in the TR002, as this would be particularly useful for an additional backup disk. A raid is often not necessary for this purpose, but the different rights of the sub-folders must remain guaranteed.
The effort to realize this seems very low to me.

You can use the TR units without RAID already.
