pdf file viewing.

Is there a way to stop my NAS opening up pdf files in a web browsers, but force it to use an app instead?

Where exactly is that happening ? Are you using filestation? (If so..why?)

Yes Qfile, doing some admin maintenance and cleaning out and checking some pdfs. Am I missing an “open with” option rather than just “open” somewhere?

QFILE on android asks me what program I would like to open pdf with

My Win 10 just opens them in the web browser (firefox).

My Ipad, iOS 17 just opens them in Safari…

I didn't know QFile exists for Windows..are you sure you are using Qfile?

Sorry, brain overload, I meant file station. It might be linked to the browser settings.

Yes..you would probably have to disable the pdf viewer in your browser

But filestation should only have a very limited use here...just mount the shares..why use a clunky web based interface?

Thanks, I am slightly concerned that setting a share would increase the danger of infection from the PC to files stored on the NAS, but it is an option.
