DownloadStation not a replacement for FTP ?

I think i know the answer to this already, but just want to confirm if I'm doing this incorrectly, is DownlaodStation for 'direct downloads' only ?

not entire stuff, like FTP sites. but just individual/multiple files you must enter ?

aka. I wish to downloads thousands of files from FTP server, but I was wanting to use DownloadStation, that way i won't need to keep my computer on. since my TS-251+ is always on. BUt somehow i don't think it will work in my case..

I tried to just specify FTP server, but it didn't to anything.

QuFTP is the app for downloading from a FTP host. But I have no idea if you can schedule/automate the download from multiple sources/files.
Which QTS is running on your NAS?
